Where are the Heroes?

Am listening to Tim Ferriss' podcast with Cal Fussman .

 

CF is discussing his week-long interview with Muhammed Ali, and what effect Ali had on the world in general - in that he was a world-wide hero.

 

So where are the current heroes? Who's the world-wide hero / hero in making?

 

Do heroes only come along a couple per century?
