Sigma PowerLed O-ring?

Anyone else that are using a Sigma PowerLed black? - Question:

 

Do you use the o-ring to secure the light to the bracket?

 

I can't get the o-ring  over the light, it seems to short and I broke one of the 3 in the box already. I went the t-strap route now, but then the setup is less flexable ito add/remove the central battery section.

 

Must say I almost nuked the breeding lovebirds in the corner of the property during testing last night. According to the noice they was not impressed

I know Builders Warehouse sells a wide selection of O-Rings in various sizes. I'm sure you can get one there that's just a little bigger than the ones you are breaking.

 

With my old Sigma Lights, I found that when you have to use the O-Rings, start stretching them way around the bar immediatelly after hooking it, and forget about just pulling the last bit to hook them in. If that makes sense.
