when using disc hubs the part where the spokes are connected to the hub is less wide than with no-disc hubs. consequently the spokes, at least on this one side, run towards the rim in a slightly narrower (or steeper) angle. what are the consequences? does this make those wheels less strong, or doesn't it really matter?

what do wheel builders have to take into consideration? remembering that on the backwheel, chaindrive side, the spokes reach the rim in a steeper angle and therefore have to tightened harder.

 

anyone in the know?
