The biggest advantage is early diagnosis - any changes to urinary stream strength or pain when urinating must be investigated asap- blood test every 2 years after 40 and regular manual exams too...

Men should take this seriously - it's really easily treatable with early diagnosis and a bustard if left alone a while to develop.

Dona search and you will see I repeat myself a lot on this one... a lot...

Hello V12

Can you offer Any help, Advice with lowering my Bilirubin?

Here is my test results done, it was repeated again a week later.

I need to show an improvement come January.

Liver Ultrasound and Scan both show normal size and shape.

Bilirubin Total mine is (67). Allowable is 5 -21 what it should be.

Bilirubin Conjugated is (10). Allowable 0 -5 is what it should be.

Bilirubin Unconjugated is (46). Allowable 0 - 18

ALT is (17). Allowable 0-50

AST is (22). Allowable 0-38

Lipids

Cholesterol Total is (3.9). Allowable 2.8 -4.9

Triglycerides is Low is (0.4). Allowable 0.5 -1.6

Glucose is (4.3). Allowable 4.1 - 7.7

Electrolytes

Urea is (4.9). Allowable 1.7 - 8.3

Creatinine is (73). Allowable 64 - 104

Estimate GFR is (108). Allowable 90 - up

I don't understand anything from this report besides the fact that my only hope of Dreams is going up in smoke.

PS, I did work in the industry.

Desperately trying to get back in.

K60 a month salary tax free, is something to fight for.

You would need to investigate why the levels are high if you have no symptoms - there are a few potential causes such as some medication you may be taking, some types of liver disease and some genetic disorders - specifically Gilbert-Meulengraght syndrome.

Normally Gilberts is not diagnosed until other potential causes are eliminated - and you need to be examined by a physician specifically to eliminate any other issue.

Here are 2 articles to read (sorry - not really for laymen) :

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4424929/

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7134940

You may want to look through the contents of any medications/supplements you are taking to see if any of them contain nicotinic acid - this seems to provoke elevated levels for some people (this is a flat out guess that it might be affecting you) - and is indeed one of the tests used in the diagnosis of Gilberts

If I were you - I would have it investigated further to get a proper diagnosis, and eliminate anything potentially causative - fortunately Gilberts is not as far as I know life threatening, and should not disbar you from a position - assuming that is what you have.

Hello V12

I am not using any Supplements or vitamins.

First Doc didn't take any further, Third tests.

Just diagnosed me with Gilbert's syndrome.

I am trying to get another specialists feedback.

Thank You for your feedback

It cannot be from Supplements, stopped using for more than a year.

Only Medication would be Antihistamines"Texa brand" and the odd pain or rennie tablet.

Gilbert's syndrome is genetic - no real point in hoping for a different cause - I think you have it and your doc does too - 1 in 10 Europeans has it - no big deal really.
