Thule Xpress 970 Lock

Just want to get some advise if anybody has experience and maybe a suggestion on what small lock one should use to secure the Thule xpress 970.

 

Can one go with a small combination type padlock, or one with a key.  Or is this the type of rack that you rather just put in the car and do not leave around with your bike locked onto it?

I have a combination lock and it works. I do however remove it when the car is parked to keep the rubber mountings and straps out of the sun.
