WFSGI To Report on Newest UCI Rules at Taipei Cycle

OSTERMUNDIGEN, Switzerland – The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) is inviting industry professionals to its public information meeting taking place at the Taipei Cycle Show on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Here the WFSGI will inform on its collaboration with the UCI about further developments with regards to technical rules and regulations.

Next to the rules the UCI stipulates for bikes that take part in the races they overlook the WFSGI will also present highlights of its other bicycle projects. Like on the newly launched Responsible Sport Initiative.

Challenging year

In a press release on the Taipei Cycle information meeting the federation says “The WFSGI Bicycle Committee looks back on an exciting and challenging year in the collaboration with the UCI on further developments with technical rules and regulations on:

  • The ups and downs in the developments of the trial period of disc brakes in road racing
  • Collaboration with the UCI, AIGCP and CPA in order to make the disc brake introduction in road racing a success.
  • new developments regarding frame design restrictions
  • the 6.8kg weight limitation.”
Responsible Sport Initiative

The formation meeting will also present the WFSGI Responsible Sport Initiative. This is a platform that helps bicycle companies to efficiently implement unified corporate and social responsibility standards.

More on these and other topics will be presented during the meeting at the Taipei Cycle Show. It takes place March 22, 2017 from 15:00 – 16:00 at the Nangang Exhibition hall, Room No. 401 on the 4th floor.
