Zipp 303 retention ring

Hi

 

Any tips on fitting the spoke retention ring on the back hub of zipp 303? I do not want to damage it. I tried by hand, but it just doesn't fit.

Too tight a fit or too loose?  You may need to slacken off the spokes on that side and re tension.

It is too tight, also read on weightweenies that I need to slacken the tension on the spokes on the side of the ring (casette side). Sounds like a mission...

Managed to fit the ring last night. I had to loosen al the drive side spokes about 2 turns before the ring would fit, then re-tightened the spokes.
