Grease_Monkey Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 So I have some Shimano XT trail pedals on my bike which I have been using for about a year and I really like them. I just bought myself some 5.10 Maltese Falcon shoes, but I am finding that there is a gap between the sole of my shoes and the surface of the pedal cage - this makes for an unstable feeling on the pedal and defeats the purpose of a trail pedal and shoes like the 5.10 all together. I know Crank Bros Mallets now have a traction pad insert system allowing the rider to fill that gap I have, but I am not keen for new pedals. Anyone had a similar problem? Any solutions? Is there maybe a shallower cleat available?
