Hi

I had an operation and would like to get back to fitness and while the wet Cape Town weather limits any major riding.

I can get many

Giant Cyclotron Magnetic Trainers less than R1000 second hand.

New they are R2800 https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/giant-cyclotron-magnetic-indoor-trainer

I would like to spend as little as possible but willing to spend R3000 for a good secondhand one, if these are not great. Have a look at these secondhand options. Are there any better options? https://www.bikehub.co.za/index.php?app=core&module=search&section=search&do=search&fromsearch=1&search_app=hubmarket

BTW: I am no professional and don't need state of the art. I will use it and my wife and we are looking getting to reasonable fitness sitting on this for between 3 and 4 hours a week.

Regards

If you looking for cheap buy a simple Giant trainer with manual resistance controller plus a smart cadence and speed sensor to pair with your phone and you can join zwift.

To add resistence you can fill the rear tyre with water or slime ( you will be surprised what an extra kg of mass does ) and if you want to simulate a steep incline, pull the rear brake a bit

This will set you back about R 2000

Yes. I saw your post. Thanks. I can even get two second hand. One for both of us. Happy to know these are okay. [emoji1]
