eccc whippet Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 and my freehub body has some bite marks in from the cassette which is starting to cause issues.i forgot about that...freewheel body thingy mabob went click and stopped working after a couple of months...took it back to cyclesphere (where i bought the bike) and it was replaced under warranty...without any issues.
eccc whippet Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 just a note...the athem has an xt derailleur which has a clutch thingy in it...something you need to open and check on occasion...i was told to leave it in the off position while the bike is an ornament on my office wall. a couple moths ago i changing down and i noticed the chain was hanging on the ground...opened the 3 screws on the cover to find the thing rusted and locked...stripped cleaned and re adjusted...there is a special grease required for the clutch...so i am told.
