I am thinking of getting some Absolute Black oval chainrings for my road bike. Is anybody using these? If so what is the feedback? Was going to try Qrings but will not fit my crank set up.

I use them on my MTB (1x10) and my tandem (2x10). work great (although the upshift on the tandem is not as smooth as Shimano's rings, but it is a tandem with a 3m gear cable..)

They're pretty durable, look good, etc. Shipping is quick. Their recommendation is particularly to switch your small ring to oval and keep the big ring round, although I've never tried mixing the 2.

The analysts say they make the most difference for seated climbing.

My interest is mostly in the better climbing. Mixing the oval and round won't work all that great for me. I climb mostly on the big chain ring. I also read that these work best for riders that tend to grind up the hills, that's me.

How long did it take to get used to the oval rings? Does it feel any different?
