Hingsding Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Please help te ease my touble mind about entering for the CTCT. I've been riding 14 Cycle Tours and trained very hard for each of them. Like for most of us the cancellation of this year's event was a HUGE disappointment. However, no one can predict 5 months in advance to a Cycle Tour what the weather conditions will be like, but the other factor that concerns me the most is the current political unrest in our beloved country. As we collected our race numbers and bought Gatorskins for the event, meanwhile back at the bushcamp, their planning was running like a welloiled machine. I live upcountry and paying for transport and accomodation is something to keep in mind. (Nevermind the fact that, over the CTCT weekend, someone smashed a R6k window outof my car to do affirmative shopping). However I'm NOT willing to train literally 100ths of hours to be dissapointed again. I'M NOT TRYING TO PUT THE CTCT IN A BAD LIGHT, I'm just trying to figure out if I'm the only one looking for the bobbejaan agter die bult. Your thoughts will be appreciated! Hingsding, I feel for you guys up country thinking of getting an entry and coming down for the ride. Maybe drop the organisers a PM and ask them, although I am sure they will reserve the right to the exercise the clause in your entry sign up that says they keep your money if the event is cancelled.
