WANTED Used MTB 29'r Hardtail Medium

Good morning everyone, Im no expert at buying bikes;

Im looking for a used bike for my son, in Gauteng or Limpopo areas.

He wishes to ride more competitively, and used to have a entry- level Axis bike

 

Price range: R10 000 - R15 000.

I saw a few bikes in the classified section that meet the criteria ( Merida Big 9 XT for R14500, Giant Advanced XTC carbon frame for R15000 or Titan Elite carbon for 14000)

Not sure, if all else being equal, which would present good value for money?

All help / advice much appreciated.

Also, where can I buy bike shoes in the Pta region? Looking at size 11.

Size 11 shoes for you or your son? If for your son, then I highly doubt he's a medium
