Merida Carbon Frame Warranty

G''day all,

 

I just have silly question. Would anyone know whether a bike manufacturer warranty only applies to the country its sold . In my case  I purchased a Big Nine 4000 which has a lifetime frame warranty. I am curious to know whether it would honoured in South Africa by a dealer.

Have asked the local Merida agents (Cytek as mentioned above) and this was their reply:

 

"Yes it would be. So long as he's the original owner and can show proof from his purchase."
