Schwalbe Land Cruiser tires 40c

Hi All

Looking for some advice with regard to these tires please?

 

Anybody used them and will they be ok for gravel grinding with a load?

I think they can be set up tubeless which is how I would like to use them.

 

Planning to use them on a cross type bike for gravel touring with panniers.

 

Not much on the internet and the search brings up nothing on the Hub.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Have no experience but I reckon this would be an ok tyre for normal gravel conditions. Given Schwalbe's tendency to offer flexible sidewalls, I would be careful using them on rocky trails/roads. If the need is for high grip levels, I would prefer the bobproof Kenda Flintridge Pro(chris willemse cycles) or the WTB Nano 40 which your lbs can order locally. A faster tyre that offers surprising grip is the Specialized Trigger Pro 38mm. I use these. All the above are tubeless ready.

Looking at prices, availability and toughness.

My guess it would be the L. Cruiser or the WTB Nano.

I see the Schwalbe G-One is big on gravel bikes in Europe. Perhaps check google for reviews? I find Bikeradar to be excellent

Trying to get some Nano's but it is proving rather difficult.

I think I will settle on these unless something comes up.
