  1. There is also a book about the goings on in Die Hell. All about each individual family and what they did including the car disassembly and the Tiger Moth.
  2. Not quite International transport but thought I would ask. I need an ebike battery transported from Kempton Park to Durban. There does not seem to be a company in SA which will collect and deliver. Tried Google but nobody will do it.......any suggestions? Anybody coming to Durban soon and would like to have some of the petrol costs recovered? Thanks
  3. This works well.
  4. Not sure I follow? Either way is correct I would say. Left to go down the pass to PA. or left to go via Die Leer. Would not like to carry your gear either "up" or "down" die Leer or are you travelling light? Mid March is flipping hot!!
  5. Every little bit helps. I cannot believe this discussion is actually happening and have trouble with the society of today with all the litter and the love of alien plants and also invasive plants of which there is a difference. Clearly, the understanding is missing. The crucial point is invasive alien plants and trees take over and destroy our natural eco-systems which means our indigenous flora and fauna WILL disappear.
  6. I am also very, very, extremely confused by this picture. If I am not mistaken and I do not think I am, this is a Grey Squirrel which is NOT endemic to South Africa and is causing a huge problem for the Red Squirrel in Europe. Please may be not have that here! The pics of the indigenous forests astound me and make me even more of a believer in Indigenous forests. Beautiful. Thanks to U1Nanimouse for posting. We van now compare apples with pears.
  7. Exactly this. Remove the aliens although they are not classified as invasive, These trees are are huge problem, especially water wise. Oak is alien and Eucalyptus is a great/huge fire hazard.
  8. You are lucky you are still able to run. I am unable to walk 2kms. I have the EXACT symptoms and the pain is worse in the mornings. Nothing can be done as I did break the ball off and now everything is cockeye and compensates for each other including the groin muscles. Hip replacement will not help due to the back muscle also packing up due to overuse (compensation) Anyway, I am a grumpy old man and will not wake from the anesthetic????? If it helps.....Ride an Ebike
  9. I am wanting to have my Ebike 48v battery rebuilt and also to get another new one. Can't find anything in search. Is anybody able to help with contacts please? Thank you
  10. I keep my chain clean and ONLY use oil, no matter what. +7000kms and going well.
  11. Thanks Chris I think I have eventually managed to get the program right with the least amount of battery drain. It took ages with trial end error. The program I used was very unstable and had to keep coming back. Now what to do with my old motor setup which is still working.
  12. Yes been there, done that hence my question. There are so many sites with advice and some of them slate each other. Much cheaper to have purchased from America than locally and just need to fine tune. I need to tour on my bike (two batteries) and have an extended PA range as I do not need speed or power etc. It is not called pedal assist for nothing.
  13. I have received my new Bafang BBSHD mid-drive uart motor and have had it tuned down to 75% of its capacity by the shop. I have the programing cable and would like to change some of the parameters Questions, what is the best and easiest program to use? Has anybody done this? Thanks
  14. Don't see a reason for this "upgrade" unless the Christmas bonus is burning a hole in you pocket.
  15. I have been using this program and deleted it from the device and reloaded it. The light/Varia is far away and after reloading, it says "No network" I can live with this and just move it onto a new screen. Going to delete the varia and reload and see what happens
  16. No, not using lights. I think this could have imbedded itself when I used an external battery?>?
  17. I did Google this previously and tried it but does not do anything. I am stumped. Just wanted to know out of interests sake. Otherwise all works well, thanks.
  18. No, nothing else connected. It just came on for no apparent reason. It still stays on when I disconnect the Varia. It also stays on when I connect the external Varia battery. It works fine so guess all is good.
  19. Gooday Does anybody know what the symbol bottom right on my 1030 means. It suddenly came on and I guess it could be something to do with the battery? Anybody experience this. The unit still works 100% Thanks
  20. For those who have not done it, you go into thin air. Temperature at this time of the year may be viscous. You bleed either way.
  21. Only had good (great) experiences with the folk there.

I am closing in on your age fast and had the same problem on my road bike. Went to a compact crank with 11/36 rear. Solved most of my problem but the hills got steeper every year......ebike?
  23. Temporary fix done, sealed and tested. Working 100% and all is good.
  24. No, not as of yet. What I have managed to get is a bigger (size and capacity)battery which I am going to connect externally into my bike rack with snap fittings. I hope to source a replacement battery later as I need the Varia to ride immeadiately because I dont feel safe without it and cannot wait.
  25. Three screws later. I see there is facility to add two wires to outside the unit so as to connect to an external battery and to retain the charging facilty or even charge from the outside with a suitable charger. The cover pops back into position as is but I will waterproof with liquid rubber which may glue everything back into place? It ended up as a piece o' pie. Patience and more patience required but the excercise is doable and definately worthwhile. Not difficult at all.
