Scott Spark rear triangle.

Hi all.

 

These are off the rear triangle of a Scott Spark 710. I need a pair as these as these are cracking, not sure why as I have always only tightened to 15nm. LBS says I have to buy get complete pivot kit at R1949. Any one have a retired pair for sale?

Try asking in the classifieds as well and also contacting Scott directly - I'm not sure who the distributors in SA are, but someone here will know.

Not sure if you solved your issue:

Yup, I think shop over tightened my bolts too - do all my own servicing now.

 

But here is what I did,

 

One bolts still ok but did this for both:

(removed cracked peaces from bolt if they too broken)

Drilled out a washer - add washer to bolt

Add LockTite when refitting

 

Note - lots of thread still on bolt - so no worries about strength of the repair.

Does build up a little rust - as you can see - but no problem.
