    The Heidelberg MTB challenge is a non-profit fund raising event to initiate a shelter for the homeless. We are back this year to make it even bigger and better. The Heidelberg MTB challenge cater for cyclists and runners from pro’s to fun seekers. The beautiful venue at Lezar Opstal and Wedding Venue offers accommodation (Contact Heleen Le Roux at 084 581 9905), free camping (no electricity) pristine ablution and shower facilities. More accommodation is available if you visit Lezar website: www.lezaropstal.co.za
    This is not only for the fit and brave but also for your loved ones, supporting you in doing what you love.

  • Breakfast and lunch will be available at the venue as well as entertainment for the kids including:
    • Horse shows
    • Pony rides
    • Jumping castle
    • Face painting and
    • Bike track for kids

  • The route will be clearly marked and drinks will be supplied for the no-stop fast and furious as well as the slow-go view appreciators.
    We aim to make Heidelberg MTB challenge a bucket list event for every cyclist and runner.
    So fire up your training plan and get ready for the challenge in aid of the homeless.
    For the Fit and Brave the following is included in the entry fee:
    • Goody bag to the first 500 pre-entries.
    • Medals to the first no of finishers
    • Shower facilities
    • Lucky draw prizesWe also offer the following at a charge:
    • Breakfast, coffee, lunch and craft beer.
    • Bike repair station
    • Biokineticist (massages, stretching, ice bath and strapping)
    • Emergency medical assistance

    • 10km run (R80) @ 8:15
    • 10km (R80) @ 8:00
    • 30km (R150) @ 7:45
    • 60km (R210) @ 7:30
    • 3km (R50) @ 8:30

Anyone entered this one yet? If Jo Black's going to be performing it may be easier to convince the missus to ride along. I'm assuming the show is included in the race ticket price?
