Lizzard30 Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 HiIs there something im doing wrong or missing? Since my battery died on AMA 100miler ride my heart rate monitor is giving me trouble... I replaced the battery but ever since on every ride it seems to register fine until about 20mins in then heart rate drops and are giving serious low readings..I then have to remive it from sensors and re add then it works perfect for another 20 or so mins... then remove and add again... ???? Anyone else experiencing same issues... Or what can cause this problem... I did try my other brand new garmin strap from my wifes box.. same story... Please help....
Opc_danny Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 I havent had your type issues however i did have and im still having issues, i battle to connect my new hr monitor that was replaced by Garmin, eventually it connects and then works fine for the full ride. Im using my wahoo and its magic. Garmin is now for emergencies. Maybe delete the HR from garmin.Re-install.Make sure you using 3v battery. Hope you come right, its most annoying.

Please help....Good day Lizzard30Thank you for posting your enquiry on Bike HubIf we have already replaced the battery and tried a different HR strap I would recommend we do trouble shooting on the Edge device itself.Please could you start with ensuring the Software version on your Garmin device is on the latest version using Garmin express.If already updated do a Factory reset on the unit and set the device up again.

This may sound really stupid but it worked for the dropouts I was experiencing on mine. What CR2032 are you using? Switching from Energizer to Duracell sorted mine out.
