Trek emonda sl5 54 2018

Bike fit 54 vs 56.according to trek 1.8m is a L.i can get a good deal on a 54 trek emonda sl5 2018 that is standing on the shop floor.my inseem is 83cm.how big difference could it really be.? I can put longer stem for reach if needed.i had a ML giant tcr advanced and i had my saddle all the way to the front due to my riding style.please need advice. Thanks

Im 1.79m and could almost fit on a 54 frame with a 130mm stem. I say almost, as my knees would still graze the handlebar when climbing out ofthe saddle.

Fit is different from person to person, ask if you can try it out, even on the shops indoor trainer before spending $$$.

It looks as if the Emonda top tube is 54cm vs. 57cm for the Giant - sounds like you would need a stem that is a 10mm to 20mm longer than your current one. Also keep in mimd that you may need more spacers under the stem on a 54 frame, which doesnt look nice if over done.
