Tana Road bridge being removed.

Hi all

Apologies if this has been discussed already, I did a search but couldnt find anything.

Does anyone know whats happening with the bridge under tana road? I see its boarded up and theres signs saying it will be removed, any idea why? 

Crossing those roads now is a bit of a gauntlet.
