Looking for new Bike, been out of the game for 14+ years.

Good evening everyone:

 

Quick overview:

 

* I am looking for a new dual suspension (preferably) or hardtail MTB bike for Urban and offroad use.

* It will also be used to commute to work.

* I am replacing my Haro Escape 8.1 (see the link attached) and would really like something that has that tricking (free ride) kinda look. THIS IS MY HARO: https://store.bicycleczar.com/product-p/12110080.htm

* Can spend up to R20k, maybe slightly over.

* Because of budget, willl buy preowned.

 

I have had my Haro for close to 14 years and it's time to upgrade. I am looking for something 'similar'. The Haro has that freeriding element and aesthetic to it which I really love. I have always wanted a dual suspension though I don't know if it's really necessary. I might just be riding my new buy for another 14 years, so might as well go big. My budget is limited though.

 

I honestly don't know where to start. It is a lot of money, but we've had some tragedy in the family recently and this is exactly the kind of 'distraction' (therapeutic riding on a kickass bike) that I need.

 

Any advise would be appreciated.
