Ratchet Ring For Novatec XD642SB Rear Hub

Hi

It looks like I've stripped the inner teeth on my Novatec

XD642SB

rear hub ratchet ring.

The pawls won't engage and its like a car with a blown clutch, ie no drive.

I have cleaned and oiled but its the ring for sure and maybe the pawls need replacing also.

 

Other than splashing big on a new hub which I don't want to do, can I buy the ratchet ring and pawls separately?

 

Hope someone can advise.

You can get Novatec spares from Cape Cycles via your LBS. I have never replaced a ratchet ring so I am not sure if they stock locally. Pawls axles etc they have. Bit of a mission getting that big bearing out. I had to make up a tool.

Got sorted by Cape Cycles (Thanks Lloyd) via Linden Cycles.

Bought a new freebody as well as the ring.
