Orient Hills settlement unrest?

There was previously quite a lot of 'unrest' on the R24 at or around the Orient Hills settlement. I'm thinking of a ride at the weekend down the road 'behind' the R24, which passes Golden Harvest and the Magalies Gliding Club.

 

Has anyone been down there recently? Is it affected by the OH unrest? Is the R24 past OH, still a no-go zone?

 

Any recent intel would be appreciated.

A bit late to this party but I've ridden through there the last 2 weekends on Sunday morning sometime between 7.30 and 8.30am both occasions. Nice new tar, friendly smiling people, no hint of any trouble. But there are still a bunch of yellow 'residents only' signs up, so I'm not sure if it gets any more exciting during the week..

 

My route has been down the road you're thinking of, starting in Randfontien, crossing the N14 4-way stop onto the Berg-en-Dale route, past the back of Greenway farms, then crossing the rails after the glide club, hard right on the R24, and back through Orient Hills and on to the N14.
