What is the process for a parcel coming from the USA via USPS- last update it was :

In-Transit

August 20, 2019 at 8:51 am

Processed through Facility

JIMC C AIR, PRIORITY MAIL PARCELS, SOUTH AFRICA

 

I havnt heard a thing since 20 Aug , what could be the hold up ?

It's only the 27th... Usps goes via sapo once it hits sa. So once it's released from customs it'll go through the normal sapo channels post would take to get to you, don't expect it anytime soon. Probs a few weeks still till it gets to you. Try get a local tracking number from sapo

Sa post office has a tracking service , and normally you can pick up
there using the usps ref number ...
