  1. Did you find what you needed ? I have close to 80 routes on my Plot route , All are on the west rand , most are MTB . DM if you like .
  2. Have also been struggling with the NX. LBS has replaced entire derailleur and cassette twice , with Sram,s consent. Finally LBS "lent' me a GX setup about 3 months ago , done around 800 kms with zero problems . I have no idea as to why this helped but am just glad its working , and huge kudos to my LBS . I am not bashing Sram here , as I do think all in all their product is good.
  3. Sa post office has a tracking service , and normally you can pick up there using the usps ref number ... http://www.southafricanpostoffice.post/index.html
  4. Nope , but also in the market for a new hydration pack. The uswe xc looks ok , but may suffer from a lack of storage space. Am currently using a camelbak classic , but find it hopeless at storing anything more than a few energy bars. And the flappy , loose mouth piece is not the best. The Thule Vital 3L looks damn good... any thoughts ??
  5. Loved it , arrived at 6:00 , had more than enough time to get numbers and get sorted. Race was chilled , rode with a great bunch , route was very well marked. Yep , medal was a tad arbitrary , but for the rest I say KUDOS to the organizers , will be back again .. !!
  6. This has probably been discussed before , but here goes anyhow. I need another 4000 points to get to gold , my fitness points are maxed out. I need to find ways to get those 4000 points. I have done the online the online age and health questionnaires. I have done the weight and BMI health check. I see I can get points getting the flu shot , but I have not had flu in years , so I do not see the need . I cannot do any of the fitness assessments , because I have reached my max fitness points !!! Does anyone have any ideas ... Quite honestly , I feel that this maximum fitness level for the year should be re-assessed. Once you reach it , all you have to look forward to is a coffee once a week at Kauai ,BIG WHOOP !!
  7. Crank Bros F15 Multi Tool , with chain break and spoke wrenches , even has a bottle opener for that after ride groovy
  8. Can attest to what Andrew above said , I was in their Jhb shop this morning . More sleeves and a buff.... Have some from two years ago , still in great condition , but wanted a change
  9. A really inspirational video , get off your butt and ride , there are no excuses Check out the guy who made this vid , Ryan Van Duzer , he has a YouTube channel and has some amazing cycling adventures. My favorite is his trip of approx 3500 miles across America , 29 episodes , just makes you want get out and ride !!!
