Hi All,

I do a fair amount of riding around the suburbs for my morning rides and it used to be for commuting as well.

During these rides i have started noticing more and more people who are commuting wearing helmets, but there is a still the vast majority not and you can generally tell by the bike its not by choice, but possibly because its money that could be better spent elsewhere.

While i am very aware that an old helmet doesn't near provide the protection a new helmet does, it provides more than absolutely nothing.

So the ask is, if you have a spare helmet that you are never going to wear, i would happily offer to collect/pay the postage, and donate it to one of the many people I see riding without one. Or, you could do the same. I meet the guys during the ride, arrange a time and generally meet them at the same place the next day, with the helmet. It really means you don't have a helmet sitting in the garage doing nothing, and someone has a helmet on their head which could provide some protection should anything happen.

If you want to help out, drop me a PM and we can chat. The idea around this is to pay it forward to someone in need, with the hopes that they will do it to someone else, and that one day you may be on the receiving end, not matter what it may be.

Great initiative.
