Stolen: Du Toit Custom Frame 1991

We were broken into early morning 6 July.

 

My wife woke to the sound of scuffling at 5.40am only to be surprised by an intruder. They came in through the side door next to the front door. Which we believed was locked. They took my wife's specialized MTB bike from the house and my dads classic custom Du Toit racer. She screamed when she saw a guy taking her bike and in the house and woke me. I came down to see what was happening. The guy had already run out with the bike and luckily left without harming anyone. I pursued only to see him high tailing it down high level rd and ducking into a side street. We called armed response and they went to investigate.

 

They managed to return the specialized bike which was abandoned. However yy dads bike is gone, he road 25 Argus tours and this was his pride and joy which I inherited post his passing in 2002. Bleak about the loss.
