What bike?

I have a female friend who would like to do triathlons (not sure why, but that is another story) What bike should she be looking at? (As we have no idea what to look for, she hasn't set a budget however entry level is probably close to her mark) .

 

She is going to Australia next week. Should she look for a bike there?
