Best way to get bikes from JHB to Cape Town (without riding them there)?

I want to relocate my two road bikes down to Cape Town from Johannesburg.

 

Is the best way to take them with me as extra luggage when I fly or use a courier company to transport them?

 

And if a courier company , which one?
