Just a heads-up for all the Mountain bikers using the Rynoue roads to and from Buffelsdrift Bike Park:

Me and my riding partner got got pulled over by a very aggressive young man in a silver Suzuki Jeep because I indicated with my hand that we needed some space as he was driving in the middle of the tar road with at least half a meter to spare to the left. It needs mentioning that he took off at least 4000km worth of thread on his tires just stopping and making a u-turn on that narrow road.

What troubled me was that his immediate words was: "Julle fietsryers moet nie op die teer ry nie maar op die grond. Hierdie is 'n privaat pad en julle betaal nie hiervoor nie".

His wife/girlfriend covered her face with her hand (in shame perhaps?), which indicated to me that this was not his first altercation with cyclists.

This happened on the last section of Tian street just before the Moloto Road.

I know there is a whole lot of mountain bikers from the Montana/Pretoria North/Pretoria East/Roodeplaat area who uses these roads to get to Buffels. So please be careful of this man in the Silver Suzuki as he obviously has serious issues with cyclists illegal using "his" roads in Rynoue.

PS: If you know this man please tell him to Google "Right of Way Servitude in favour of the Public"

Perhaps vented towards you for not being happy with his life, maybe had a fallout with said wife/girlfriend/skelmpie/alternatively had an excess of testosterone and had a gorilla breast banging experience, or her face covering was because of erectile disfuntion, he was angry, she was ashamed. Anyhow, glad nobody got hurt, except for his fragile ego.
