Has anybody used bikehit.de?

I'm looking to buy from https://www.bikehit.de/en/  Has anybody used them?

They're the only people who seem to stock the out-of-date parts (Shimano shifter) that I'm looking for, otherwise I'd choose something more well known.

I have people in Germany that I'll send to, so shipping etc. won't be a problem.

It does seem pretty legit. And if your shipping within Europe it should be simple enough to sort out any issues if there are.

 

the website doesn’t set off any red flags. It has a physical address, they take payment via credit card. I think you are safe

You would best stay far far away from bikehit.de.  Real bunch of scammers they are!  I don't know why ebay don't shut them down.  The dismal 36.2% positive feedback over the past 12 months speaks volumes.  I got taken for 30 odd Euros last year for a Shimano hub that they never had in stock.  They said it was on back-order and I stupidly believed them and left it too long to get any recourse from ebay.  Fortunately I paid using Paypal and they refunded me.  As for the hub, Shimano had discontinued that hub four years earlier, so it was never going to materialize.  I could have got one from another seller in the USA and would have had it in two weeks.  Bikehit.de are known for not responding to emails ever.  They also do not answer the phone.  How they continue to operate is beyond me.

Thanks.  This was a while ago, and I didn't use them in the end.  But useful to know for future searches.
