Social MTB groups in Pietermaritzburg and surrounds

Hi all

 

I recently bought a secondhand Specialized Stumpjumper mountain bike and I am looking for a social mountain bike group in Pietermaritzburg and surrounds. I am brand new to the sport and I am worried that I will be left behind because other people in the group will be more experienced than me, so the social rides would have to be beginner friendly. The bike is in good condition and I am looking to build my fitness and skills while having fun with people who also just want to enjoy a bike ride without making it very competitive. 

 

Any advice or suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Join the burg wheelers cycle club. They have so many different groups with different ages and strengths. Road and mtb. They are based in pmb. You will also learn the local routes around Pmb,  Hilton and Karkloof. There are many kind folk who can help with questions and technical stuff
