I intend flying with Delta to USA. Also some advise regarding packing. I will use a standard factory carton bike box but will wrap the whole bike with white foam. I will tape the box very well with box tape. Tnx
100Tours Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 My experience - without the battery it's just a bike. so you're OK on that front. You usually have to pay a bike bag fee. This was about USD100 last time I travelled. so it's that or more. you can ask the airline. What are you planning on doing about the battery? my understanding is that you can't take a full size battery even as hand luggage,

You will need to rent one at the location "In short, the answer is no: you can’t take an electric bike on a plane. It’s all because of the battery.
