Nothing really new or revolutionary expressed there, just a rehash of old news.

 

Beltrans positive has gone largely unnoticed though I must say, one can only deduce, either the media and the public are no longer interested or  the organisers have done an excellant PR job regarding this - or maybe a combination of both.

He's old, EPO is old and Lance (RIP) is all old news, so another teamate of Armstrong falls...who cares. There are guys like Ricco attacking, Cunego battling, Valverde cracking...brilliant, brilliant, brilliant (doping or not, the racing is great) Bring on week 2...that's news.

Put it this way - Beltran is not even as important a rider as Moreni, and he only got as much press as he did because Cofidis pulled out and left Brad Wiggins on the bench.

 

The race may not be bigger than the stars, but it is certainly bigger than pack fodder.
