The Lone Star 100miler and 60km is inspired by gravel and MTB Marathon races across South Africa, where the farm gravel roads offer the riders a safe and untamed exploration of our beautiful countryside. Through this event, we embrace the culture of exploration and the true grit of our farmers, enduring the elements in the Northwest Province.

The Lone Star 60km provides the ideal event for the gravel/MTB rider that still wants to experience the safe and untamed exploration of our beautiful countryside but might lack the fitness or time to complete the 100-mile event. Same route but with a shorter turnaround point.

The Route: GPX file will be available to download on the website.

The route starts in Sleepy River and ends on the same start line. It will follow the tar road for approximately 10km before turning into a gravel road West ward, following an undulating gravel road with two major intersections before the turnaround at 25 miles/40km.

E-Mountain Bikes will only be allowed in a separate race over 50mile race.
