SA ENDURO CHAMPS RESULTS

[El Duderino]

SA Enduro Champs took place at Cascades in PMB on Sunday (15/10/2023). Matt Lombardi is the SA Champ despite being second fastest on the day. Keira Duncan was fastest but incurred a 5 minute penalty for receiving outside assistance in repairing a rim that was damaged on stage 3. Duncan won every stage.

[KERMIT THE UBOAT]

Minor correction. Keira received assistance from a competitor with in the race., there was no outside assistance.  A fellow racer gave him a wheel so he could complete his race. There was ultimately confusion from within organisers and commissaires at the time as to the legality of this. The local rule book says little about accepting a wheel from with the field so the commissaires reverted to the UCI / EDR ruleset which state a rider must finish on the same frame fork and wheels. 

For this reason a time penalty was applied.
