Garmin Fenix 6 or 7 Maintenance

Anyone tried opening up their Garmin Fenix 6 or 7 and successfully cleaning / servicing it. My Start / Stop button seams to have packed up. Followed their advise for cleaning it by soaking in lukewarm water but to no avail. I know what is going to be my options if I send it in to Garmin i.e. they keep my old watch give me a new/refurbished one with at a 25% discount or something crazy along those lines. So trying to avoid the latter as much as possible.
