Cradle of Human kind solo riding during the week

Is it safe to ride the Cradle of human kind riding during the week alone, or should this not be attempted?

It’s a difficult question to answer. There has only been 1 or 2 incidents that I’m aware of over the last 18 months. I’ve ridden alone sometimes and been fine but it’s probably not worth the risk imo.

I can’t say if it’s safe or not, but I live  nearby and see a lot of people cycling solo in the week.

I lived in an estate close to Lanseria. Routes I followed were just in Cradle, through Cradle to Magalies, and through Cradle to Van Gaalens. Always done solo in the week. Never had problems except for odd protest action at split to caves.

Avoid over weekends at all costs though!

If you referring to the road loop around the cradle then yes absoluetly. Obviously still Africa but I would say its "safe" for sure.

We often ride it over weekends, but was thinking of going riding there with upcoming leave. Thank you for the inputs. Appreciated.
