Mongoose BMX - Need help

hi,

I need some help with spare parts, either used but still working or new. I bought this BMX about ten years back for the kids. They have been using it relentlessly and it still runs good. I suspect its a 2000 model, but unsure. The label indicates its some 40th anniversary special addition. 

It does need some restoration, and a good clean. 

•  New brake cables (gyro system, still works fine) But the cables are all sticky making you pray each time you ride it. 
• Both brake levers are still working, except for the rear brake lever. Some wannabe ex wife new boyfriend a s s thought he knows bikes and stripped the tread. I manage to fix it, but suspect the fix will not hold for long. Well its holding longer then his status as boyfriend..... anyways, back to the bike.....
• Tires (sorted, local bike shop)
• Pedal, bearings are a bit loos, but I suspect a tab of grease and some tightening will work here. 
• Crank, still good with no play on it. Will have to open and check the bearings, but my suspicion is that they are still good.
• Rims, still straight as an arrow
• Spokes, some polish will make them shine again, else I just spray the lot black. 

The whole thing will be stripped, paint sandblasted and resprayed again. My main concerns are the brake cables Where do I get them. I have checked Mongooses Vintage website, but they only have manuals and pics up to the 90's.

Any help or pointing in the right direction would be appreciated.
