Travel from Durbanville to Town on Bike Path

Is it safe to travel from Durbanville on the bikepath/lane in the Woodstock area to town?

Has not been safe at all in recent months. Scores of incients associated with occupiers of Transnet land alongside the bike path. There have been some operations conducted in the area but I am still avoiding the bike path as well as the N! route over Church street bridge.

Alternative routes are in other threads on these forums - past Grandwest, through Pinelands and then Woodstock cycle path into town past the Castle.

Cycle path unfortunately cannot be recommended at present.
