What shox to choose?

some seem to like that heavy, slushing sound and feel of a Fox.

I ride both Fox (Lefty Fox Terralogic TT) and Rock SHox (Totem).

Granted they are for different applications but the damping in both is superbly controlled and that is what anyone  wants.

So pay RS money and get Fox feel buy changing the oil.

If you prefer the RS feel then theres no need to change the oil.

No problems with my Recon so far, and I am not the lightest rider so it works fairly hard. I think you can't go wrong with either RockShox or Fox, both are good so let your budget be the deciding factor.

Rock Shox Reba is the best value for money shock, and still awesome quality

Fox F 100 RL is also really good but you're gonna pay like double the price

So if money is no problem or you plan on really racing get the Fox.

If you're not gonna race or spend a fortune get the reba.

According to some of the UK MTB mags it is difficult for mere mortals to discern the deferance between a Recon and a Reba and the Fox is a nicer shock but also requires more TLC.  So if you want a fit and forget fork go with the Recon. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
