heres the beef.

 If yo buy either the felt or silverback and upgrade the fork you are going ot spend at least R12K, perhaps R16K.

May as well consider bikes in that price range.

 

Either the Felt or Silverback is good value. I'd pick the one that fits best.

Thanks golefty I see your point. The Nabraska 2009 model is going for R8000 (phoned around). So it will be better specced than the 2009 Felt Q720 from the research I've done. The 2009 Felt Q920 I'm not sure on the specs. The thing is that the Felts look AWESOME but the Nabraska might be better specced. The Felt Q920 I think is on a par with the Nabraska but I don't know the price of it!!!

Keith, do not buy a bike just because it's pretty. First find out what fits you best. ALL bike have dfferent geometry. Even bikes from the same manufaturer are different. You ge the "sport" range and the "race" ranges. That Felt is obvious a "sports" model because it's got pannier bolts on the seat stays. Get fitted and then start looking.

Mampara pretty does help a bit though! I know what you saying- at the end of the day it would be a stupid decision to buy a bike because it looks cool. I'll have to wait till the 2009 models come out so I can physically look at them. If you hear of the Q920 pricing let me know! Shot!
