Yep, this was one awesome day in the saddle. On the road into the finish - long, baking hot, fast - we had run out of water. Saw a Valpre bottle half full on the side of the road, interrupted the charge and picked that sucker up and finished it in no time. Sweetest bit of water ever. Rockin!

This is a pic of climbing that hill - me in front' date=' Johan Labuschagne pushing his and his team mate's bikes (mixed team) and my brother and team mate at back. We are in granny gear and moving at about 4-6km/h! The descent on the other side was flippen hectic, all you could smell at bottom was cooked disk brake.

My front brake went before that climb and I only had a rear going down the otherside, hence to say it overheated and I crashed big going down.

 

Oh my word Shocked - if anything that descent was worse than the climb. Hope the grop wasn't too painful...

Done that too!! Man that was ridiculous. My partner bonked and I had to push his bike too! We stopped half way down the otherside to let the brakes cool' date=' man it was awesome though!!!
