Hi hubbers

I have a Bianchi 928 carbon L that had a nasty crash and i wonder if anyone knows about a person/establishment that can evaluate the frame for me. I'm not interested in the guy at the LBS (God bless them though!!) just giving it a quick glance over, I want a professional overview.

Thanks

For a professional inspection, you can contact Megchem Engineering & Drafting consulting engineers, Centurion office: 012 352 0306, best guy to talk to is Pieter van der Vyfer.

They do inspection and testing for some of the SA bike insurance companies. Just make sure if there will be any permanent effects on the frame - ie discolouration of stickers due to dye penetrant tests etc. I've got no idea what the costs are.

IMO you can look it over yourself, serious damage should be visable on a clean frame. Pay extra attention to tube junctions. If you can see anything, and it does not make any noise under hard load like climbing out of the saddle, its probably ok.
