They are superb wheels. Stiff, light, comfortable and predicatable in the winds. I got a pair to match the WH-7850-C50-TU's I have.

I *ahem* may be selling a nearly new pair in the next few weeks when I've decided whether or not I'm selling my race bike Cry I bought them in the UK before I moved out here, and I've trained on them probably about 10 times in dry weather.

I'll keep you posted on my decision if you are still interested in the near future.

How did you notice the difference in stiffness of these wheels over others?

What makes them more comfortable than others wheels?

As much as this might amaze you, others are entitled to an opinion as well.

The dude spent time typing his response and you want to over analyze it all.

C'mon play the ball man, you are not an expert on ALL levels.

I've been cycling/ racing for 24 years on n off, so I have ridden a fair few wheels in my time Wink

I guess the carbon laminate faring goes some way to absorbing road 'buzz'- especially on the roads over here which are far less forgiving than those in the UK. My old Ksyriums feel much harsher. The hubs are extremely well engineered also, though they do take a while to bed-in as they are a bit sticky out of the box...

My question was simple, how did you notice the difference in stiffness and how did you notice the difference in comfort? You attempted to answer the latter one by saying that the carbon laminate fairing removes road buzz, but avoided the former by citing your tenure on a bike.

The hub engineering story is a red herring.

You can do better than that.

Considering that the radial deflection of a wheel is in the order of 0,05mm and the compliance of a tyre is as much as 5mm, complilance of your backside on a saddle about 4mm, how do you explain that you can feel 0,05mm difference between different wheels.

This is the thickness of a sheet of printer paper. Ride over that and tell me you can feel the ridge.

Lord brush

I am surpised you took the bait.

You have posted here and you were trolled in order for a new debate to begin.

There is a behavioral pattern in individuals who love to swim upstream.

These persons tend to have a clever answer for everything and tend to say things to create sensationalism.

This is the ONLY way they can become legends.

L brush, you might not have the technical knowledge to justify your first post but is should be noted that you gave an honest opinion, for this you should be thanked.

I will stick a limb out and say that many people would like to post in the TECH Q&A but refrain from doing so because of the fear of being over analysed or nitpicked.

Persons that know everything don't exist, it is a red herring, saying that there is no such thing as a well engineered hub, is an uneducated comment as this is not backed up by scientific fact, I guess we could call this comment a red herring.

This will become yet another fruitless thread in which the up stream swimmers will try and justify their stupid claims so that they can go to bed at night thinking that they are standing on the shoulders of giants.

It must be real comforting feeding the layman BS and feeling like an expert.

My rant for the day.

Luckily science or numbers can't explain sensory satisfaction.

Ah no this is going to be very scientific. Pinch test first to see if my butt is more than 4mm compliant if so the wife is going to take a cheese grater to it until exactly 0.05mm is removed.

Am I boring you yet?TongueTongue
