I wish I can unconditionally say yes.

The 94.7 website states it will be using the seeding index, Carousel 150, 110 races are used as part of the index. However, not sure if the index will be updated in time for the race, as they take loooooong time to do it, 'cause they wait for the results from RT & WT. Last update was on 14 June,so that is almost 6 weeks, so if they take that long after Carousel, it should still be fine, but.....

11. SEEDING

Seeding will be as per the Cycling South Africa National Seeding Index.

So I would say yes,, but dont quote me

152 is only for Pro's.

Normal people can only do 110km.

Watch out for the finish! Not quite the safest one around. Narrows to single lane to go through the archway. Then there are those little spped strips to contend with. Keep away from the sides, the barrier supports stick out quite bit.

Andy, you didn't answer the question dude. I've seen you ride and Klapping the SBR in 2hr12 puts you in a category most would not consider "normal".

Dam good time BTW, really good. I'd need one of these 20090727_045056_20090310_022649.jpgto manage that feat.

Aaah. Where did you breakaway? Congrats!

Thanks Slave, but alas, I fit into the normal category.

There were four people riding yesterday who I caught near Trubie Climb. 2 of the group just after that right turn before the start of Trubie climb and the other two in the group about 50m ahead. Flashed by!

It was about 10k's or so from the finish, on the road where the two races join, before the left turn for the final 5 k's.

If that makes any sense?

Wonder if the speedy guys were Eldron and company?

It was way too cold for me to contemplate riding on SAturday. I spent several hours in my garage in Friday night faffing with my project bike and working on several items on mine. I nearly froze body  parts off dude and there was no way in this lifetime that I was going to have another WWRR experience with the cold.

Chicken? Hell yes and proud of it. Took out my frustration on the IDT instead.

The weather yesterday was much more cycle friendly. Cr@p ride but at least I didn't freeze.

I doubt it Slave, these seemed to go very slowly! I turned the corner and had to drop anchor! Was passed all four of them between the right turn to approach Trubie Climb at the right turn on Trubie climb. Next time I saw then was when they were at the bottom of the Cheetah Loop joining main road and I was driving home. That was after buggering around a bit after packing bike into the car and phoning etc.

So you're quite the speedster there Andy young man.

Your time is very respectable. I would barely manage that in a flat ride of 57 km. (Not really, did 53 k's yesterday which included some "false flats" in around an hour 50 something. (It was a really crappy ride as I said, but even a bad day on the bike, beats a good day in the office. Strike that last comment. Just had a good day and it can only get better if I go for a ride. Will see how the weather plays along later.)

Oxman, seeing you are so clever this morn with yr comments on JB, maybe this race is only available on cyclelab.co.za for clubmembers, cause I found it there. Not sure how Shwan managed then, as far as I know he isnt a member of this broederbond society, unless he has joined in the meantime.
