Slave, what tyres are you using? Gatorcrap again?

Predictor is an excellent addition to this team! Seems like we heading for a team of 12 strong riders judging by our current roster!

Friday morning's flat was from snake bite. No tyre in the world would have prevented that one. Then the Friday afternoon one was because the last tube of solution (glue) I got was rubbish. So I fixed both on Friday arvie when I got "home". Saturday morning was from the same issue with the solution. So I went to the bike shop and got some better stuff. Problem with the rubbish solution was only discovered on Saturday morning though. After identifying that the leaks were caused by previously repaired punctures leaking. (And since I have fixed a few of them in my life, I know how to check and make sure after the repair before the tube si returned to the tubby for further use. Also tubes are all fairly new, so the leaks are all from recent flats.)

Yesterday a small, very sharp, small piece of glass got through the Gator's skin and madethe smallest of punctures in the tube.

Them Gators are good Andy. I recon the incident n Friday morning would have shredded a lesser tyre, never mind just three holes in the tube. And the tyre is still hundreds. Checked it out very carefully.

Slave, you correct. Lesser tyres would've. But what lesser tyres are there to Gators?

Agteros, the package has spent more time in customs than it took to get here! Hope you get it soon!

Attack force. post-4220-0-18794200-1292226762.gif I had a look at one of them a few weeks ago. That front tyre is very thin skinned and the side wall would have been ripped apart on Friday. post-4220-0-92727100-1292226854.gif

Plus it's like the end of the year and all guvmunt deputtments are going even slower than they normally do so maybe Ox, it will be like ready by Easter.

Post office is generally jacked up these days, only problem I have with them is that they do not have enough counters open once you get to the actual post office. Parcels generally move along swiftly.

The Attack/Force has much better protection. Mine are fairly cut up but nothing has got through to puncture the tube. You should try some! Even the Kid has been impressed with them.

Yes, the Post Office is ok but customs are still moving at a speed which would make snails seem as fast as F1 cars!

BTW, peeps. I saw Delgado on Friday. Was riding along Athol-Oaklands when he saw me, drove around the block and yelled at me when I was in 4th Street. Stopped and had a long chat with him. He sends his best wishes to the crazy crowd on this thread. :D

Said we may have a spot for him in the DC team. Even after we take on predictor.

So now talking of the DC team, how many teams are entering from the hub? Criteria: The entire team must be made up of hubbers.

Speaking of the DC Team, we need a Team Camp like the Luxembourg Team have just had. When are we having it? Any ideas?

Quick question to all the cycling fundis lurking on here:

24 spoke hubs...

I've never counted the spokes on my wheels... so need to know whether 24 spokes are the norm, or only found on specific type/manufacturer wheels, kinda general or obsolete?

Posted

Never counted mine either. But from just looking at wheels I think it is fairly widely used. You should look at the various wheel spec's on the web and see. Or at least your present wheel.
