Rivnut fitting West Rand

The new Raleigh Tandem has only three water bottle cage mounting points. I want to create two more. Where can I get rivnuts fitted on the West Rand?

You could just use jubilee hose clamps like we did in the old days before rivnuts were introduced

 

Speak to Petri at Karsten Cycles. He borrowed a tool a while back to tighten a rivnut in my road frame. Maybe he will know where to get. If you find out then let me know please.

I feel constricted when wearing a Camelback and I also overheat. Temps where we live goes up to 45 deg c.

 

Sal so maak Speed Devil. I had some fitted to el rapido a while back at John Freeman of Exocet, he builds alu Tandems and road bike frames.  Do not know whether he still operates. Will phone on Monday. He used to be quite close to me near Westgate.

I think Exocet has closed down. Maybe you can try Produx in Cape Town. If they can supply you then you can just get your lbs to fit them.

 

Or you could look at getting a set of bottle cages that fit under the saddle like the triathletes use.

BigH John Freeman sold business and is living in Capetown, not involved with bicycles anymore...

Don't bother trying Johnson Cycles, they do have rivnuts, but are waaaay too busy counting money (or whatever else it is they do except help) to worry about customers or service.

I can Wholeheartedly recommend Riaan at Tour de Frans Cycles, although not quite on the west rand, but SERVICE WITH A SMILE!!!!!! and they do have rivnuts
