Got a 2 yr old broken in Thudbuster and neoprene Crudbuster (cover) if you want it, the lighter elastomers not used, I've just got new elastomers too, make me an offer.

I used a USE suspension post for a couple of years, including 2 Epics. They definitely work in my view; take the kick out of rough bumps. But they are expensive and definitely don't last, and weigh 400 g if that matters to you. Last Epic I changed to Maxxis Lust 2.1" tyres, rode them at about 2 bars, and never looked back.

Agree with some comments above, that benefits to a 48 kg person are questionable; rather fiddle with low pressure UST tyres.

yay or nay...

<DIV>and which one is better?</DIV>

Used a USE Alien seat post before, found it works well in smoothing out small bumps, holes, rocks etc... Never had any problems with it from a mechanical aspect.

Yay if you want to take the edge off small bumps like dirt road corrugations or veld grass stump thingys and ride a lot of dirt roads or not so technical terrain.

Nay if you ride a lot of technical terrain. Due to the sag you may have to set your seat height slightly higher and this can in some cases get in the way when standing or moving your behind behind the saddle.
